CANCELLATION / GRIEVANCE REDRESSAL POLICY

Mechanic Lane strongly believes in a sincere and transparent approach to its users. This policy document aims at minimizing instances of customer complaints, grievances and disappointments via channelized approach, review and redressal. The self-review will be of help in identifying shortcomings in the product features and service delivery. The user can cancel/stop using services of Mechanic Lane at any point of time. In case, Mechanic Lane needs to send some final settlement amount to user then Mechanic Lane can settle the same within 7 days of user cancelling the services.

Mechanic Lane's policy on grievance redressal follows the under noted principles.

  • Mechanic Lane's users are to be treated fairly at all times.
  • Complaints or concerns raised by users are dealt with an open mind, with courtesy and in a timely manner.
  • Users are informed about the channels to escalate their complaints, concerns and grievances within Mechanic Lane and their rights if they are not satisfied with the resolution of their complaints.
  • Mechanic Lane will take care of all complaints efficiently and fairly as they value each user.
  • All employees at Mechanic Lane must work in good faith and without prejudice to the interests of the users.


Users have complete authority to file a complaint/ share feedback if they are disappointed by services rendered by Mechanic Lane. They can give their complaint/ feedback in writing or email/letter on any social pages of Mechanic Lane.com. If user's grievance is not resolved within 7 days or if they are not satisfied with the solution provided by Mechanic Lane, they can approach the Tiered Grievance Redressal Mechanism provided by Mechanic Lane.

RETURN AND REFUND POLICY

MechanicLane Spares Retail Return Policy

Product Return is a scheme provided by MechanicLane Spares Retail directly under this policy in terms of which the option of exchange, replacement, and/or refund is offered by us. All products listed under a particular category may not have the same returns policy. For all products, the policy on the product page shall prevail over the general returns policy. Do refer to the respective item's applicable return policy on the product page for any exceptions to the table below.

The return policy is divided into three parts; Do read all sections carefully to understand the conditions and cases under which returns will be accepted.

Returns Pick-Up and Processing

In case of returns where you would like item(s) to be picked up from a different address, the address can only be changed if pick-up service is available at the new address.

During pick-up, your product will be checked for the following conditions:

  • Correct Product - name/ image/ brand/ serial number/ article number/ bar code should match and the MRP tag should be undetached and clearly visible.
  • Complete Product - All in-the-box accessories (if any) should be present.
  • Unused Product - The product should be unused, unwashed, unsoiled, without any stains, and with non-tampered quality check seals/return tags/warranty seals (wherever applicable).
  • Undamaged Product - The product should be undamaged and without any scratches, dents, tears, or holes.
  • Undamaged Packaging - The product’s original packaging/ box should be undamaged.
  • Mechanic Lane Spares Retail reserves the right to refuse or accept the return if any of the above conditions are not met.

For any products for which a refund is to be given, the refund will be processed once the returned product has been received by Mechanic Lane Spares Retail.

Rules for a successful return

1. In certain cases where the Mechanic Lane Spares Retail is unable to process a replacement for any reason whatsoever, a refund will be given.

2. During open box deliveries, while accepting your order, if you received a different or a damaged product, you will be given a refund (on the spot refunds for cash-on-delivery orders). Once you have accepted an open box delivery, no return request will be processed, except for manufacturing defects. In such cases, this category-specific replacement/return general conditions will be applicable.

3. For products where the installation is provided by Mechanic Lane Spares Retail’s service partners, do not open the product packaging by yourself. Mechanic Lane Spares Retail’s authorized personnel shall help in the unboxing and installation of the product.

4. Any product-related issues will be checked by authorized service personnel and attempted to be resolved by replacing the faulty/ defective part of the product. A full replacement will be provided only in cases where the service personnel opine that replacing the faulty/defective part will not resolve the issue.
